Game Recap

Edgewood faced league rival Bassett High School on Thursday. Having already triumphed over the Olympians twice this season, our Lady Lions were ready for a three-peat, but the Bassett team was out for revenge. Communication problems on the Edgewood side caused our Lions to lose the first set, but they rallied and triumphed in a nail biter second set to send the game to the tie breaker. With the momentum going out way, our Lions took control of the third set and never gave it back, winning it with a decisive final score of 15-4. Lions of the game included Arianna Rimmer and her stunning serves, Cynthia Santos and her bullet free balls, Angie Meraz and her killer tips at the net, and Alejandra Barajas who was an all around stud. Our JV squad is now 8-0 in league with only two games left.
